Robert D. Bankhardt, DDS

Dr. Robert D. Bankhardt is a native southern Californian who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Dr. Bankhardt attended Los Angeles Pierce College where he received an AA degree in Business and California State University, Northridge where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Cell/Molecular Biology. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Bankhardt attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors in 1986. Dr. Bankhardt has continued to update his education by attending numerous continuing education programs yearly to stay abreast of the latest developments in dentistry and dental health.

When he’s not working, Dr. Bankhardt enjoys spending time with his wife and two active children, along with playing golf, both water and snow skiing, reading, working on the computer and coaching soccer and basketball.


William H. “Bill” Raines, DDS

Dr. Bill Raines joined the practice in August of 2000. Originally from upstate New York, he was raised in Orange County, California. He graduated from Los Alamitos High School and Stanford University prior to receiving his DDS degree from Emory University in 1978. Dr. Bill Raines also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

After dental school, he joined the United States Air Force and served for twenty-two years before retiring as a full Colonel in August of 2000. His assignments included tours in Germany, England, Florida, Mississippi, and two in California. His final assignment was as Dental Commander at Vandenberg AFB, north of Santa Barbara. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, doing crossword puzzles, golfing, bike riding, cooking and hiking.

 

Christine M. Tapp, DDS

Originally from Eastern Pennsylvania, Dr. Tapp graduated from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.  She worked in pharmaceutical research for a number of years before entering dental school at the University of Southern California. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May of 2004.

While in school, she saw patients at The Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles and volunteered at mobile clinics which served the children of migrant farm workers in Central California.

Dr. Tapp enjoys all aspects of dentistry and taking continuing education courses to stay current on the latest in dental health and medicine.  When not at work, Dr. Tapp also enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, skiing and Scrabble with her husband Tom. They have a tortie cat named Kitty.
